Hosta 'Mint Condition'

This is one of those cases where there are two hostas with the same name. One is registered and, therefore, the "official" version of H. 'Mint Condition' while the other is a non-registered plant and needs to be renamed to avoid further confusion.

Registered by Monty and Julie Carlson of Minnesota in 2013, this large size (19 inches high by 36 inches wide) cultivar is of unidentified parentage. The medium green foliage has a pure white marginal variegation. Its leaves are elliptic, moderately wavy and slightly shiny on top. Medium lavender, tubular flowers with stripes bloom from June into July on scapes 22 to 27 inches tall.

According to the registration materials: "...wide variable margins streak toward center, three colors on leaf..."

MyHostas Database lists a non-registered cultivar of this name originated by Wm Zumbar of Ohio.
