Hosta 'Miyazaki'

Registered by Mark Zilis of Illinois in 2010, this small size (6 inches high by 17 inches wide) cultivar is a hybrid of H. longipes. It is medium green in color with a white medial (center) variegation with green speckles. The leaves are narrowly ovate, moderately wavy, moderately folded and dull on top. Tubular flowers bloom from mid-August into September on scapes 10 to 16 inches tall.

According to the registration materials: "...small mound of wavy foliage that is mottled green and white in spring, plus late season flowering from Kyushu Island in Japan... center becomes greener..."
