Hosta 'Moor Hound'

Registered by John J. Smead of Quest Creek in New York in 2018, this large size (21 inches high by 48 inches wide) cultivar is of unidentified parentage. It has dark green foliage that is nearly round, moderately cupped, moderately corrugated and dull on top. Near white flowers with light lavender stripes bloom from late June into July on scapes up to 23 inches tall but it does not set seeds.

The registration materials state: "...Very round, dull leaves appear darker between corrugations. Holds up very well LATE into the fall. Sterile."
