Hosta 'Mosel'

Originated by Heinz Klose of Staudengärtnerei Klose in Germany but registered in 2008 by Peter and Jean Ruh of Ohio on his behalf, this upright cultivar is of unidentified parentage. The medium size (14 inches high by 23 inches wide) hosta has medium green colored foliage. Its leaves are ovate, slightly wavy, slightly cupped and very shiny on top. Tubular, lavender flowers with vivid purple stripes bloom on scapes about 8 inches tall.

According to the registration materials: "...flower size, and short flower scape × seedling of Tardiana-type..."
