In The Genus HOSTA by W. George Schmid (1991),  this cultivar is listed as having been originated by Dr Samual Jones Jr of Piccadilly Farm Nursery and Gardens in Georgia. It is a small size hosta about 10 inches high by 12 inches wide with medium green foliage. White flowers bloom in July followed by fertile seeds.

There is also a cultivar named H. 'Needlepoint'.
