Hosta 'Old Gnarly'

Registered by George Kruer of Delaware in 2009, this fast growing, large size (22 inches high by 39 inches high) cultivar is a hybrid of H. 'Bressingham Blue'. It has intensely blue-green foliage that is nearly round, heavily corrugated, deeply twisted, deeply folded and has a glaucous bloom on top. Light lavender flowers with stripes bloom on scapes up to 32 inches tall.

According to the registration materials: "...large mound of unruly, irregularly seersuckered leaves, heavy substance...greens up as season progresses..."
