Originated by Mr Onoda from Japan, this non-registered cultivar is of unidentified parentage but with H. pulchella in its background. It is a small to medium size (10 inches tall by 24 inches wide) hosta with shiny dark green foliage. The lanceolate leaves are heavily cupped and twisted.

According to the MyHostas website, this cultivar was given to Dr Bob Olson during the AHS trip to Japan. Mr. Onoda is the Secretary of the Japanese Hosta Society.
