Hosta 'Pearls of Wisdom'

Originated by Olga Petryszyn of Indiana, this cultivar was registered in 2021 as a seedling of H. 'Sagae' × H. 'Tokudama Flavocircinalis'. It is a large size (26 inches high by 50 inches wide) hosta with pale bluish gold to light blue-green foliage. The broadly ovate leaves are slightly folded, moderately corrugated and moderately cupped. It bears near white, tubular flowers that bloom from June into July and sets viable seeds.

According to the Registration materials: "Starts out a light bluish gold developing an iridescent coating from powdery turquoise to gold, giving the leaves a “pearlescent’ effect.  Upright, spreading to a large mound of corrugated slightly folded leaves and prolific flowers...more gold later in the season or with sun, leaves will be more yellow green..."
