Hosta 'Precious'

Registered by Randy Goodwin of Indiana in 2017, this miniature size (3 inches high by 6 inches wide) cultivar is of unidentified parentage but has H. 'Crazy Quilt' in its background. It has slightly blue-green foliage with a greenish yellow medial (center) variegation. The leaves are nearly round, moderately folded, slightly twisted and dull on top. Medium lavender, bell-shape flowers with striping bloom from June into July on scapes 6 to 9 inches tall.

The registration materials state: "...Miniature with cupped blades and nice seasonal color change. Veins are most distinct...Center changes from greenish-yellow to creamy white throughout the season."

There are several hostas with similar names including H. 'Precious Metal' and H. 'My Precious'.
