This Tardiana-type seedling of H. 'Purple Verticilated Elf' is a small size (6 inches high by 14 inches wide) cultivar from Dr. Ralph (Herb) Benedict of Michigan which was registered on his behalf by Rod Kuenster of Iowa in 2010. The dark blue-green foliage is narrowly ovate, wavy, slightly cupped and has thick substance. Very pale lavender flowers with stripes in dense clusters bloom in July on scapes 9 to 12 inches tall.
