Hosta 'Reddy Eddy'

Originated by Dr. Ralph (Herb) and Dorothy Benedict of Michigan but registered in 2010 by Rod Kuenster of Iowa on his behalf, this cultivar is of unidentified parentage. It is a large size (18 inches high by 26 inches wide) hosta with dark green foliage. The leaves are ovate, slightly twisted, slightly wavy and very shiny on top. Flowers bloom from mid-August into September on scapes 24 to 28 inches tall.

According to the registration materials: "...dark red petiole, pointed leaf tip, shiny wavy edged leaves..."

There is a hosta with a similar name of H. 'Ready Eddy' but the descriptions differ.
