Hosta 'River's Edge'

Kevin Walek of Virginia originated this non-registered sport of H. 'Jewel of the Nile'. The large size (22 inches high) plant has leaf blades that are blue-green with a white marginal variegation and broadly oblong-ovate-shaped with a long, thin tip. The pale lavender flowers open in July and bear many seed pods.

According to The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), "During a Jan. 16, 2004 AHS conversation with Kevin Walek, however, he indicated that 'River's Edge' would not be propagated in the future."
