Hosta 'Sally and Bob'

This hybrid of H. 'William Lachman' × H. 'Fascination' was registered by Clarence Owens of Michigan in 1994. The medium size (16 inches high) mound has green foliage which is streaked with white, yellow and mottled sections. The leaves are ovate shaped, slightly corrugated and have above average substance. Its flowers are lavender colored and bloom in July.

According to The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), this cultivar "...has been listed as 'Bob and Sally' in a few collections and nursery catalogs..."Sally and Bob", are the Murphy's from Indianapolis, Indiana. They are long-time hosta collectors and active members of The American Hosta Society. The plant has beautifully variegated foliage, but often sports to the yellow (to white)-centered, green-margined form over time. That sport has been named 'Barbara Elizabeth Hoover'."
