Hosta 'Salvation Army'

This non-registered, 2019 introduction is from Chris Wilson of Hallson Gardens in Michigan. It is a seedling of unidentified background which grows into a medium size hosta about 16 inches high by 30 inches wide. The shiny, bluish-green foliage is elliptic to elongated in shape. The dark purple striped flowers bloom in late July into August on stiff, upright red scapes which hold the blooms well above the foliage. Reddish purple seed pods develop into the fall.
