Hosta 'Sam Son'

This non-registered cultivar of unidentified parentage is from Dr. Ralph (Herb) Benedict of Michigan. It is a large size plant with corrugated green foliage.

According to The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), "This hosta has also been known as 'Samson', but the published name (ibid) is 'Sam Son'. It was on display at the 1988 National Convention of The American Hosta Society in Michigan (also labeled there as 'Sam Son')."

There is an image of a plant labeled 'Samson' on the Hosta Library.
