Hosta 'Sarah's Sister'

This large size (18 inches high by 35 inches wide) cultivar is a sport of H. 'Fortunei Aureomarginata'. It was registered by Gerry Hicks of Maine in 2015. The foliage is medium green with yellow to creamy white marginal variegation but it is a "very unstable pattern" according to the registration.

Its leaves are ovate, slightly corrugated, moderately flat and slightly shiny on top. Pale lavender flowers with slightly darker stripes bloom from late July into August and it sets viable seeds.

According to the registration materials: "...Gold streaks that lighten to cream are highly variable throughout the leaf and sometimes the margins as well...golden streaks and yellow margins lighten to cream as the season progresses."
