Hosta 'Scally Cap'

Registered by Josh Stadden of Ohio in 2003, this small size (10 inches high by 30 inches wide) cultivar is of unidentified parentage (hybrid of an F1 seedling of H. 'Bravo').

Its leaves are medium green, ovate, deeply flat, slightly wavy and slightly shiny on top with red petioles. Tubular flowers bloom from mid-August into September on scapes 16 to 21 inches tall followed by green and purple seed pods.
