Hosta 'Scoop'

This is one of those cases where there are two hostas with the same name. Neither are currently registered with The American Hosta Society. The first one to be registered would become the "official" hosta of that name and the others would have to be renamed.

Originated by Alex Malloy of New York, this non-registered, small size cultivar is a seedling of H. 'Monopoly'. It has rounded, green leaves with white marginal variegation and streaks in the center of the foliage.

Hosta Helper will call this plant 'Scoop' (Malloy).

The Hostapedia mentions another hosta with this name that was on display at the 1995 AHS Convention in Falls Church, Virginia. This plant had heavily corrugated, dark green foliage.

Hosta Helper will call this plant 'Scoop' (Hostapedia).
