Hosta 'Shades of Green'

Registered in 2019 by Rod Lysne of Northern Grown Perennials in Wisconsin this fast growing, large size (22 inches high by 36 inches wide) cultivar is a seedling of H. 'Green Marmalade'. Its leaves are various hues of marbled green with a white marginal variegation. The foliage is slightly shiny on top, broadly ovate and mostly flat overall. Pale lavender flowers bloom in July on scapes 28 to 32 inches tall followed by viable seeds.

The registration materials state: "...Elongated, sharply pointed arrowhead shaped leaves with clean white edging on green centers. Several hues of green are evident, often with a distinct marbled effect. Streaks of color often extend out to the leaf edges. Overall glossy appearance...consistent coloration through the season."
