A second generation seedling of
H. 'Tardiana' was registered in 1988 by the British Hosta and Hemerocallis Society (BHHS) on behalf of
Eric Smith. It grows to 19 inches in
height with a spread of 42 inches with slightly corrugated
foliage with thick substance. The near white flowers bloom
mid July into August.
According to
The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis
(2009), "...one of my favorite Tardianas.
Its rich blue foliage retains its color into late summer..."
Similar cultivars include H.
'Blue Diamond'.
