Hosta 'Shifting Sands'

Originated by Dr. Doug Beilstein and Mardy Beilstein of Ohio, this cultivar was registered in 2021 as being of unidentified parentage. It is a small size (7 inches high by 12 inches wide) hosta with medium green foliage that has yellow to sand colored streaked variegation. The broadly ovate leaves are relatively flat, very slightly folded and slightly shiny on top. It bears medium purple, tubular flowers that bloom from June into July and sets viable seeds.

According to the Registration materials: "A small plant with heart-shaped leaves with sand colored streaking on the interior portion of the leaf (streaking does not go to the leaf edges)."
