Hosta kikutii
'Shirobana Hyuga'

Originated in Japan, this non-registered cultivar is a sport of H. kikutii.  It is a medium size hosta with shiny green foliage. The flowers have "beak-like" bracts around the buds and clusters of near white blooms with purple anthers from late August into September. They produce viable seeds.

Mikiko Lockwood in an article on The Hosta Library titled, A Little About Japanese Hosta Terms defines the term shirobana as white flower.
