Hosta capitata
'Shirobana Kanzashi'

This is a seedling of H. capitata which was found in the wild in Japan. It is a non-registered cultivar that forms a medium size plant with green, heart shaped leaves. Pure white flowers blossom from late June into July.

Mikiko Lockwood in an article on The Hosta Library titled, A Little About Japanese Hosta Terms defines the term shirobana as white flower.
