Hosta 'Shout Out Silas'

Registered by Milt Whitmer of Ohio in 2020, this large size (26 inches high by 48 inches wide), upright cultivar is an open-pollinated seedling of H. 'Old Rough House'. The nearly round, blue-green foliage is heavily corrugated, moderately cupped, slightly twisted, slightly folded and dull on top. Pure white, fragrant flowers bloom in June on scapes 30 to 35 inches tall followed by viable seeds.

The registration materials state: "...Vase shaped rugose clump with medium white backs, great substance and seersuckered leaf texture...leaves turn blue-green later in the season."
