Peter and Jean Ruh of Ohio in
1990 on behalf of the originator, Heinz Klose of
Staudengärtnerei Klose in Germany, this cultivar is of unidentified parentage. It is
a medium size plant about 9 inches high by 26 inches
wide with blue-green
Tardiana-type foliage. The leaves are ovate, wavy and have thick
substance. It bears pale lavender flowers in September
with viable seeds.
The New Encyclopedia of Hostas by
Grenfell (2009) states: "One of a collection of unnumbered and unnamed
Tardiana Group seedlings acquired by the German nursery
and hosta collector, the late Heinz Klose."
