Hosta 'Silberpfeil'

Registered by Peter and Jean Ruh of Ohio in 2005 on behalf of the originator, Heinz Klose of Staudengärtnerei Klose in Germany, this cultivar is of unidentified parentage.

It is a miniature size plant about 5.5 inches high by 15 inches wide with blue-green, Tardiana-type foliage. The leaves are ovate, slightly cupped, slightly folded, slightly wavy and have thick substance. It bears pale lavender flowers in September.

The registration materials state: "...nice blue cast, German Tardiana."

The New Encyclopedia of Hostas by Diana Grenfell (2009) states: "One of a collection of unnumbered and unnamed Tardiana Group seedlings acquired by the German nursery and hosta collector, the late Heinz Klose."
