Chick Wasitis of Bridgewood Gardens from Maryland registered this upright, small size (10 inches high by 22 inches wide sport of H. 'Purple Rain' in 2014. The blue-green foliage has a yellow medial (center) variegation. Its leaves are moderately flat, elliptic and glaucous on top. Pale lavender, tubular flowers bloom from July into August. It sets viable seeds.
