Hosta 'Sir Charles'

Registered by Charles Kwick of Wisconsin in 2019, this upright growing, giant size (30 inches high by 54 inches wide) cultivar is a seedling of H. 'Blue Umbrellas' × H. 'Sum and Substance'. This dark blue-green hosta has leaves with flat margins. The foliage is broadly ovate, very shiny on top, moderately corrugated and slightly folded. Medium lavender flowers with center stripes bloom from July into August on scapes 30 to 40 inches tall.

The registration materials state: "...Large, shiny, corrugated leaves on a very large hosta...darkens a bit as the season progresses."
