Hosta 'Sombrero'

This seedling of H. 'Honeybells' was registered by Robert Savory of Savory's Gardens in Minnesota in 1991. It is a large size plant growing to around 20 inches in height with a spread of around 60 inches. The leaves are blue-green in color and are broadly ovate, downwardly cupped, slightly wavy and slightly corrugated. In August, it bears fragrant, pure white flowers.

According to The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), "As a mound of foliage, it can be easily mistaken for a H. 'Sieboldiana'-type. In bloom, however, it certainly speaks H. plantaginea."
