Hosta 'Something Different'

This sport of H. 'Gold Standard' was registered by Pauline Banyai of Michigan in 1990. It forms a large size (26 inches high) mound with pale lavender flowers from mid-July into August on 3 foot tall scapes.

According to The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), this cultivar "...offers an improvement on 'Gold Standard' by developing its gold center color much earlier in the growing season. It was one of Pauline Banyai's last introductions."
