Hosta 'Special Angel'

Amanda Blake of Australia registered this large size (20 inches high by 45 inches wide) sport of a reverted i.e. non-variegated, form of H. 'Kiwi Milky Way' in 2013. It has blue-green foliage with greenish yellow medial (center) variegation with streaking toward the midrib of the leaf. The leaves are broadly ovate, wavy and have flat veins.

Near white, tubular flowers bloom from December into January in Australia. This would correspond to June into July in the Northern Hemisphere.

The registration materials state: "...unusual color pattern, much variegation streaking toward midrib."
