Hosta 'Stained Satin'

A tissue culture sport of H. 'Lakeside Black Satin', this is a non-registered hosta from Jim Anderson of Winterberry Farms in Georgia. It forms a medium size clump with dark green foliage that has a pale green to creamy yellow to white medial (center) variegation. The leaves are ovate shaped, slightly wavy and have smooth texture. Purple flowers bloom from July into August.

According to The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), "...possesses beautifully variegated foliage. The dark green margin often produces streaks into the creamy center adding to the effect. There are still questions as to how well it will perform in the ground and what the mature size will be."
