Hosta 'Stiff Upper Lip'
 

This large size (22 inches high by 48 inches wide) cultivar was registered in 2010 by Stuart Asch of Michigan and is of unidentified parentage. The blue-green foliage is nearly round, heavily corrugated, slightly wavy, slightly twisted and dull on top. Tubular, lavender flowers with purple stripes bloom from June into July on scapes from 30 to 38 inches tall.

According to the registration materials: "...dark blue green leaves with substance and heavy corrugation' lavender flowers on tall scapes, shines under a dark canopy..."
