Hosta 'Stimulation'

This is another of those "complex" hybrids from Tony Avent of Plant Delights Nursery in North Carolina who registered this cultivar in 2006.

First, he crossed H. 'Red Neck Heaven' × H. 'Invincible'.

Second, he self-pollinated the resulting seedling from that first cross.

Third, he crossed the resulting seedling x H. 'Elvis Lives'.

Fourth, he crossed the resulting seedling with a plant that was the result of a cross of H. 'Elvis Lives' × H. 'Treasure Island'.

The final product of all that, H. 'Stimulation', grows into a medium size hosta about 17 inches in height with a spread of 35 inches with dark green foliage. It produces spider shaped, lavender colored flowers from mid-August into November.
