Hosta 'Stonegate'

Registered by Monty Carlson and Julie Carlson of Northernair Hostas in Minnesota in 2022, this medium to large size (18 inches high by 34 inches wide) cultivar is of unidentified parentage. The leaves are blue-green with a light green medial (center) variegation. They are nearly round, slightly rippled, slightly cupped, moderately folded and heavily corrugated. White flowers bloom from late June into July on scapes 21 to 23 inches tall followed by viable seeds.

The registration materials state: "Medium blue margins with light green centers on very thick, very puckered and crinkled leaves. Handles sun well but color contrast is better when grown in the shade."
