This cultivar is a seedling of H. 'Holly's Honey' which grows into a large size plant about 20 inches high with a spread of 40 inches. It was registered by Greg Johnson of Iowa in 2004. The leaves are medium green, slightly rippled, broadly ovate and dull on top. They fold back with a midrib that sticks upward.  Deep purple flowers with petals pulled back bloom from mid-July into August.
