Hosta 'Striped Canvas'

This cultivar is a hybrid of H. 'Designer Genes' × H. 'Sea Angel' which was registered by Charles Seaver of Delaware in 1996. It grows to a medium size about 12 inches high by 24 inches wide with medium green foliage that has white and yellow streaked variegation.

The foliage is heavily rippled, moderately wavy, ovate and dull on top. Deep purple, tubular flowers with stripes bloom from late July into August. It sets viable seeds.

According to The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), "Though registered as a streaked plant, 'Striped Canvas' has a strong tendency to stabilize to the white-centered form."
