Hosta 'Sulfur Butterfly'

Registered by Randy Goodwin of Indiana in 2019, this medium size (14 inches high by 36 inches wide) cultivar is of unidentified parentage. It is a golden-yellow hosta with broadly ovate leaves that are slightly rippled, dull on top, moderately wavy and moderately corrugated. Pale lavender flowers bloom in June on light green to golden yellow scapes 18 to 24 inches tall. It sets viable seeds in light green pods.

The registration materials state: "...Large distinguished plant with a midsummer glow of striking golden yellow...emerges chartreuse before turning bright golden-yellow."
