Hosta 'Sunfish Blue'

This upright growing cultivar was registered in 2004 by Criste Sauve of Michigan and is of unidentified parentage. It is a giant size hosta about 35 inches high by 48 inches wide with intensely blue-green foliage. The leaves are broadly ovate, moderately cupped, slightly corrugated and have a glaucous bloom on top with a "spear-like" tip. Tubular, semi-translucent flowers bloom from mid-July into August on scapes up to 50 inches tall.

According to the registration materials: "...turns dark green late summer..."
