Hosta 'Sunshine Gold'

Registered by M. Vertz of Wisconsin in 2020, this upright, medium size (18 inches high by 34 inches wide) cultivar is of unidentified parentage. The ovate leaves are golden yellow in color, slightly folded, moderately wavy, slightly rippled and dull on top. Near white flowers bloom in July on scapes 34 to 36 inches tall. It sets seeds but their viability was unknown at the time of registration.

The registration materials state: "...Long golden yellow leaves with twisted tips have contrasting lime green coloration along the veins...Leaves emerge lime green quickly turning golden yellow between the veins."
