Originated by Kichigoro Suzuki of Japan and registered on his behalf by Peter Ruh of Ohio in 1987, this cultivar is a seedling of H. venusta. It is a small size hosta with green foliage. Purple flowers bloom in July on scapes about 15 inches tall.
