Hosta 'Sweet William'

Registered by Stuart Asch of Michigan in 2004, this cultivar is a seedling of an H. 'Dorothy Benedict' seedling. It is a large size (18 inches high by 40 inches wide) hosta with dark green foliage and creamy white to light green streaked variegation. The leaves are ovate, wavy and have smooth texture. Lavender flowers bloom in July and it develops many seed pods.

The originator made the following comment on the Fraternal Order of Seedy Fellows website: "Named after my son, this is another of my favorite hybridizing plants. This streaker has given me a number of impressive looking seedlings some of which I hope to register next season."
