Hosta 'Teltow Olive Kentia'

Registered by Manfred Entemann of Germany in 2019, this medium size (17 inches high by 35 inches wide) cultivar is of unidentified parentage. It is an olive green hosta with slightly rippled leaf margins.

The elliptical leaves are slightly shiny on top and slightly wavy overall. Medium lavender flowers with pale lavender stripes bloom from August into September on scapes 18 inches tall. It does not set seed.

The registration materials state: "...Leaf calls to mind a Kentia Palm. Unusual habit and color with red speckled petioles...turns chartreuse in summer."

Teltow is a town in the Potsdam-Mittelmark district, in Brandenburg, Germany.
