Hosta 'Teltow Yellow Explosion'

 

Registered by Manfred Entemann of Germany in 2019, this large size (20 inches high by 75 inches wide) cultivar is of unidentified parentage. It has chartreuse colored, lanceolate foliage that is slightly shiny on top and moderately wavy overall. Near white flowers with pale lavender stripes bloom in August on scapes 20 to 25 inches tall. It does not set seed

The registration materials state: "...Elongated chartreuse leaves with rich flowering...turns green in summer."

Teltow is a town in the Potsdam-Mittelmark district, in Brandenburg, Germany.
