Hosta 'Teltow Yellow Orphan'

 

Registered by Manfred Entemann of Germany in 2019, this slow growing, medium size (12 inches high by 20 inches wide) cultivar is of unidentified parentage. It is a yellow hosta with slightly rippled leaf margins. The foliage is dull on top, ovate and slightly wavy overall. Pale lavender flowers with lavender stripes bloom in August on scapes 20 to 25 inches tall. It does not set seeds.

The registration materials state: "...Stable, yellow undulating leaves...turns chartreuse in summer."

Teltow is a town in the Potsdam-Mittelmark district, in Brandenburg, Germany.
