Hosta 'The Mamas and the Papas'
 

This cultivar is a hybrid between H. 'Foxy Doxy' × H. 'Maekawa' that was registered by Dr. Ed Elslager of Michigan in 2002. The clump grows into a large size hosta about 20 inches tall by 45 inches wide with leaves that are green-centered with yellow marginal variegation. Its foliage is slightly corrugated and very wavy. from mid-July into August, it bears lavender colored flowers.


Of course, this cultivar is named for the famous 1960s rock group know for "California Dreaming".
