Hosta 'Uguisu Koba'

Originated by Oofuna Botanical Garden in Japan, this non-registered cultivar is of unidentified parentage but has H. sieboldii in its background. It is a small size hosta about 9 inches high by 24 inches wide with golden-yellow foliage. The leaves are elliptic, narrow, wavy, smooth and have thin substance.

Mikiko Lockwood in an article on The Hosta Library titled, A Little About Japanese Hosta Terms defines the term koba as small leaf, 'Koba Gibōshi' or H. sieboldii.
