Hosta pulchella
'Urajiro Ubatake'

Originated by Kenji Watanabe of Gotemba Nursery in Japan, this non-registered cultivar is a sport of H. pulchella. It is a small size hosta with green foliage that has a white bloom on the bottom of the leaf blade. The purple flowers with purple anthers bloom in July.

Mikiko Lockwood in an article on The Hosta Library titled, A Little About Japanese Hosta Terms defines the term urajiro as white-backed or white underside.
