Hosta 'Valley's Grand Folks'

Registered by Jeroen Linneman of the Netherlands in 2018, this cultivar is a seedling of H. 'Valley's Streaked Goose' × H. 'Empress Wu'. It is a very upright, giant size (43 inches high by 43 inches wide) hosta with medium blue-green foliage with light to medium yellow-green medial (center) variegation which contains streaks. The leaves are broadly ovate, mostly flat and dull on top and bottom. Pale lavender flowers bloom on scapes up to 51 inches tall from June into July followed by viable seeds in streaked pods.

The registration materials state: "...Huge hosta with big leaves. Color pattern is similar to H. 'June' on a much bigger leaf...blue margin turns greener and center turns creamy later in the season ..."
