Hosta 'Valley's Parlay'

Registered by Jeroen Linneman of the Netherlands in 2018, this cultivar is a hybrid of an unnamed seedling of H. pycnophylla × an unnamed seedling of H. pycnophylla. It is a medium size hosta about 14 inches high by 16 inches wide with grey-green foliage. The leaves are broadly ovate, slightly twisted, mostly flat and dull on top. Deep purple flowers on scapes up to 24 inches tall bloom from mid-August into September followed by viable seeds.

The registration materials state: "...Great, upward growing scapes with nice purple flowers. Leaves have white backs...changes to light green later in the season..."
