This non-registered cultivar of unidentified parentage was originated by Dr. Lloyd (Gil) Jones of Michigan. It is a medium size plant about 11 inches high by 30 inches wide with green foliage that has white medial (center) variegation. The leaves are broadly ovate and slightly corrugated.

This cultivar is named for renowned hosta hybridizer, Dr. Ralph (Herb) Benedict.
